Walking, and Leaping, and Praising God (Acts 3:6-8)

Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God. (Acts 3:6-8)

This public miracle caused a multitude to hear the Gospel and be saved. This man had been lame since this birth. He relied on alms to survive. However, the day Peter and John came to the temple, he received much more than gold and silver. Better yet, he received something better than healing, too.

This man, who had never experienced walking, now leapt for joy. He praised God like He never did before. Those who always walked can’t praise Him like this man praised Him.

When you’re in a bad place spiritually, and the Lord takes you out of that place and puts you on firm ground, how much more do you praise Him? You can praise God more than someone who has never known your depths.

Walk and leap and praise God, for Jesus the Lord has pulled you out of the miry clay and has placed you on the rock.

There is no better day to leap and praise God than today! Right?
