In Jesus Christ Neither Circumcision... Nor Uncircumcision (Galatians 5:6; 6:15)

For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love. (Galatians 5:6)
For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature. (Galatians 6:15)
Works of the Law like circumcision have no bearing when you’re in Christ. We see again that we are new creatures in Christ. The circumcision was for a time to demonstrate what the Lord would do for His people. “For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh” (Philippians 3:3). We do not trust in these rituals or works, but in Jesus’ works. One verse speaks of what we are: the new creature. The other speaks of how that works out practically: faith working by love.
