What If

2021-11-13

What if the Bible is true? Do you understand what that means?

What if the Door to heaven is strait? What if the Way is narrow? What if few people are actually saved? What makes you so sure you are one of the few that are saved?

Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. (Matthew 7:13-14)

What if we often can know people are Christians by the fruit they produce? What if only the good tree produces good fruit? What if those who do not produce good fruit are thrown into the fire?

A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. (Matthew 7:18-20)

What if most who will say to Jesus “Lord, Lord” on His Day are rejected and sent straight to hell? What if we are not saved by doing good works, but the truly saved are appointed to do good works?

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. (Matthew 7:21)

What if we really need to be born again, and that means that Christ transforms us into something very different?

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. (John 3:3)
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. (2 Corinthians 5:17)

Listen to me very carefully. Christ is coming back someday, and He will not be coming back as a baby. He will return a King riding on a horse to destroy His enemies. No one is exempted from the wrath that will be displayed that day. What makes you think it will be any different for you?

You do not become a Christian because your parents were. Your parents cannot choose salvation for you. Your preacher or your friends cannot save you. Salvation is from Christ alone; it is between you and Him.

God is not your culture or your upbringing. Just because you were born in America or the Bible belt means nothing.

Praying some prayer does not make you a Christian. You can lift up yourself in your thoughts and speech and you call it prayer. Maybe whatever you’re praying to is another god.

The sinner’s prayer is leading an entire generation into hell.

If you live a life of sin and you do not feel any remorse, it should call for real introspection. Does your life look the same as it did before you were saved? How could you claim that Jesus made you into a new creation?

You will never be perfect this side of heaven. However, true faith in Christ will ultimately affect your thinking, and as a result, your actions. Will a man stay in his house if he knows it is burning down? Will he live like it is an ordinary day? No, he will run like hell out of there.

The born-again Christian who remains in sin can expect the chastisement of God.

You may fool the world, but you will not fool God. You will see Him face to face one day. Are you confident that Christ died for you? Or do you tread on the body of Jesus, like He was nothing?
