But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. (Hebrews 3:13)

Everyone thinks they have an unlimited time to get right with God, and that He will continually give infinite room for one to turn to Him. However, there is a time when He draws the line. It was the case for the ancient Israelites, and Paul warns the letter’s recipients of the same fate: “So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest” (Hebrews 3:11).

Keep in mind, this letter was written to professing believers, though their inability to grasp the fundamentals made the apostle wonder (Hebrews 5:11-14; 6:1-3).

Don’t ever assume that you have forever to trust in Christ. He is the only one who can save us from our sins. You have heard today: Jesus of Nazareth is the Christ, the Son of God, given as the sacrifice for our sins, and He rose from the dead. Don’t brush this off. Jesus Christ is life, and every other path is death eternal.
