To Wait for His Son from Heaven (1 Thessalonians 1:10)

2024-08-05

“And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come” (1 Thessalonians 1:10). From the beginning of their conversion the believers here were instructed to look for the coming of Jesus Christ that preceded the judgments that were coming on the world. We are taught this by the Spirit of God. “For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith” (Galatians 5:5). And again, “And the Spirit and the bride say, Come” (Revelation 22:17).
