Lord, I Believe. And He Worshipped Him (John 9:38)

The blind man we spoke of yesterday saw the Lord’s working in His life. He undeniably knew He was the Messiah and the Son of God.

Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God? He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him? And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with thee. And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him. (John 9:35-38)

What did the man do? He rightfully acknowledged the Lordship of Jesus. Many say you must make Jesus Lord of your life. I understand why they might say this. But there is a better way of saying it. You do not make Jesus anything, including Lord. He is already Lord, and always was. We do as the blind man did: We believe and then we worship Him.
