In him was life; and the life was the light of men. (John 1:4)

Jesus Christ is the source of all life. Seeking life in something else will always result in failure. As Peter walked on water, when he took his eyes off Jesus, he sank. No one who looked at the brass serpent died in the plague. Why do we look away from the Savior? Anyone who takes their eyes off Jesus and looks at themselves or their circumstances will fall. His life is in us. Look to the Prince of life; His strength will carry you through.
