Triumph in Christ (2 Corinthians 2:14)
2023-10-21
Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place. (2 Corinthians 2:14)
Our triumph, our victory, is in Christ. “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith” (1 John 5:4). “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us” (Romans 8:37). Our Father has wrought this great victory in Christ. Because He was victorious over death, so are we in our position in Christ, and He will certainly raise us on the last day.
When we trust in Christ’s victory, the knowledge of God will be known wherever we go. Because the apostle Paul walked in this victory, the Spirit used him around much of the Mediterranean world and multitudes came to Christ. Those who did not come to Christ at least heard about Him because of this apostle and the many others that went out and preached. Expect the same to be true of us as we learn to walk in His victory.
What do we say or do because of this victory because the Father gave us in Christ? Give thanks. “Now thanks be unto God...”
