The Former Things of Old

My previous post was devoted to the fortresses reaching to the clouds; today we talk about the depths of canyons. We visited Canyonlands National Park, Moab Giants, and Dead Horse Point State Park. Seeing the depths of canyons and the layers of rock is as impressive as the Arches. The area is also known for its dinosaur findings, which is Moab Giants’ specialty.

It is interesting to consider how these things were formed. Stories of millions or billions of years always seem to enter the conversation. Chemical and biological evolution are assumed as fact. The Creator is divorced from His creation. However, it is the magnificence of these things that affirm a powerful Creator whose sovereignty was of old.

Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure (Isaiah 46:9-10)
