Elect According

Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied. (1 Peter 1:2)

The Father orchestrated everything needed for our salvation, using the Spirit to set us apart for His service, placing us into Christ, whose blood cleansed us from all penalty of sin. His Spirit works in us and conforms us to His perfect will to make us obedient, where at one time we were not. It is the Father’s perfect will that calls us to daily obedience and cleansing from all sin. Grace is His work, and He recreated us to serve Him alone in this life. So much to say about this, but let us rest in this thought now.
