Charity, Part XIV: Epilogue (1 Corinthians 14:1)

Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy. (1 Corinthians 14:1)
Since charity, Christian love, is “a more excellent way” (1 Corinthians 12:31), we are to “follow after charity” and invest our gifts and talents in service to others. We are blessed with what we are given to be a blessing to others. To put it another way, our death with Christ will result in life to others. “So then death worketh in us, but life in you” (2 Corinthians 4:12).
