This Is Now Bone of My Bones, and Flesh of My Flesh (Genesis 2:23)

And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man (Genesis 2:23)
Adam said this when his eyes saw Eve for the first time. But is this not suggestive of something bigger? For the Spirit says, “For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church” (Ephesians 5:31-32).
Therefore, our view of us being in Christ should be revolutionized. We are one with Him. “So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another” (Romans 12:5). We don’t strive to be in Christ; we are already in Him, for the Father placed us there. “But of him are ye in Christ Jesus...”
We are bone of His bone. We are one with Him. And if that be the case, then we have much assurance of the security in Him, both now in our daily conversation and in the world to come.
