Baptized into Jesus Christ (Romans 6:3)

Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? (Romans 6:3)

If we are born again into the new family of Christ, why such temptation to sin? How do we get out of this mess? To exit the Adamic race, we must die, and in Christ, we already have.

Note here that we “were baptized into Jesus Christ.” This says nothing about being placed into water; rather, this states that we were placed into Christ. “But of him are ye in Christ Jesus” (1 Corinthians 1:30). We were placed in Christ; as a result, we were baptized or placed into His death. We were crucified with Him. Our death to the Adamic race happened when we died with Him. Our new family history is in Christ; where He went, we went. Where He is, we are. We have died to that realm of sin, Satan, and hell. And God has crucified us with Him and in Him.

So how do we get out of the mess of sin and temptation? We must first know this fact of our history in Jesus Christ and trust Him.
