All Nations, and Kindreds, and People, and Tongues (Revelation 7:9-10)

After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb. (Revelation 7:9-10)

Part of the goal of this present age is people from every single group all over the world worshipping the Lord. We know that this is a prerequisite for the Lord’s return to set up His kingdom: “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come” (Matthew 24:14).

This vision is the foundation for Christian missions. We want the world to know the good news of Jesus Christ.

With the designations of nations, kindreds, people, and tongues, we could sum it up, “everyone.” Whether it be people within every geopolitical boundary, every family, every ethnic group, every tribe, every language group, there is a command from the Lord to reach them.

Every Christian from every group will one day stand before the Lord like this. We will praise both the Father and the Son in the great throne room. All the trials Christians have experienced for the name of Jesus will end.

We all have a role in the Great Commission. It is incumbent on every Christian to reach others with the good news of Jesus Christ wherever they may be:

Therefore they that were scattered abroad went every where preaching the word. (Acts 8:4)
