They Came and Held Him by the Feet (Matthew 28:9)

Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him. (Matthew 28:9)

Jesus is risen from the dead. He is more than an ordinary man; the women disciples here understood this and were at His feet. Worship could be the only response. He is truly the Son of God. This is clear evidence that the New Testament teaches that Jesus is God; He rightfully accepted worship.

In the following verses, the Great Commission was given to His disciples. Receiving this commandment assumes the Deity of Christ. He is the One who conquered death. His kingdom is coming.
