Where Satan Dwelleth (Revelation 2:13)

Only in a culture of darkness could it be said “Satan’s throne is here.” In the Bible, this place was Pergamos. The church held fast their faith amid persecution. One of their own, Antipas, was killed for the faith there.

I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan’s seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth. (Revelation 2:13)

However, despite it being such a wicked place, the Lord expected them to remain strong spiritually. Some of them committed fornication and were involved in eating idolatrous sacrifices. Just because everyone is doing something does not mean that the Christian should be.

As our culture crumbles, fight against the tide. Abide in Christ and remain unspotted from the world.
