When Thine Eye Is Single (Luke 11:34)

The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness. (Luke 11:34)

If we have singular focus on the Lord, everything else will fall into place. If we know Christ as our righteousness and life, then we can walk in the Spirit. If my focus is on anything else, even if it is Christ plus something else, then I am acknowledging something else as my source of life and righteousness. It should never be. Dispense with everything so that we can gain Christ.
