Two Men Shall Be in the Field (Luke 17:36)

Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. (Luke 17:36)

Another one of the missing verses in modern translations, this verse describes the sudden taking of the believers before the dreadful Day of the Lord. Three verses (this verse and the two preceding verses) have sets of two people doing the same task, yet one is taken and the other is left.

Just like Noah and Lot, some will be saved from the judgment, and others will not be saved and face quick destruction. Some will be asleep in bed, and some will be working in mills or fields. Because part of the world has light while the other dark, you see both situations. But one is taken and one is left.

Don’t look back on the day the Son of Man is revealed. Even better, don’t look back now.
