Truth Makes Enemies (Galatians 4:16)

Truth makes enemies and draws lines in the sand. Beware lest you are offended yourself.
Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth? (Galatians 4:16)
The people who received this saying were angry, thinking that Paul was leaving something out of the preaching. Surely “real” spirituality came from their personal accomplishments in some way.
There is no angrier generation than the one we live in. Who can receive this Word of God? “And I, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why do I yet suffer persecution? then is the offence of the cross ceased” (Galatians 5:11). You can substitute “circumcision” with any other accomplishment.
Jesus Christ is not a path to heaven. He is not a lord in a pantheon. He is not my personal religious system and truth that may not necessarily apply to everybody. He is the only way, the only Lord, the only truth. There is one empty tomb, and therefore, the risen King Jesus is the only one who can give you eternal life.
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14:6)
