That Which They Offer There Is Unclean

Then answered Haggai, and said, So is this people, and so is this nation before me, saith the LORD; and so is every work of their hands; and that which they offer there is unclean. (Haggai 2:14)

Everything the people offered to the Lord was unclean. This includes the small temple they had just built. If all we do and offer is unclean, what can we do? We must ask the Lord to provide the service to Him via His Holy Spirit. Since all offerings were unclean, the Lord provided Himself. He now sent His Holy Spirit to pray and to serve on our behalf since we are unable. Everything I offer in the flesh is unclean. If it is not of faith it is sin.
