Thanksgiving: January 26, 2018

God was awesomely gracious when he answered our prayers this week. Most of our family this week was sick, perhaps with the flu, and we had high fevers. I missed work for a few days. As is customary during these times, we pray for the Lord to heal our sicknesses in the name of Jesus.
This is the fourth day, and I am glad to say that we are mostly better. We spent the better part of yesterday trying to get tested for the flu, and there were long waits everywhere, or they were out of tests. By the time we got in to see a doctor, we were doing better and had normal temperatures. God was very good to us.
Recently, in my normal Bible readings, I came across 2 Chronicles 16:12. I do not think this means we should be skipping out on doctors; we should use doctors when we are sick, because God can and does use them. However, seeking the LORD is more important than any medicinal approach, as He is the one who holds our lives in his hands.
Thanks be to God for this gift to us.
