Spoken Unto Us by His Son

God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds (Hebrews 1:1-2)

The Lord speaks to us in these last days in only one way: His Son Jesus Christ. There is no way to find God but by Him. There is nothing in this ephemeral world that means anything at all. No peace here, no satisfaction, nothing here lasts forever. Neither are we in a position to negotiate or argue with God. Our sole task here while this world remains is to know Jesus the Lord, and to know Him is both at once suffering and life.
