Some People Try

Some people try to have Jesus without holiness. Some people try to have holiness without Jesus.

The one group professes Christ, and declares their freedom from the law, freedom from responsibility, and embrace sappy emotions that define their ethereal faith. And they live like Christ had never risen from the dead.

The other group pays lip service to Christ while parading their self-righteousness around. They are quick to condemn others to lift themselves up.

The problem? Some people try. Some never have been crucified themselves, and the flesh yet lives.

More of ourselves must die, so that Jesus can live.
