Sheep in the Midst of Wolves (Matthew 10:16)

Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. (Matthew 10:16)

Going out into the world to represent Jesus Christ is a dangerous assignment. Knowing how to navigate it involves wisdom while not being entangled in the world’s ways. There are people out there who truly will be saved by the grace of God, but there are many who will retaliate in the most vicious of ways just for hearing about Jesus. It is up to the Spirit to lead us in wisdom and gentleness in the world, so we rely on Him.
