As a Shadow (1 Chronicles 29:15)

...our days on the earth are as a shadow, and there is none abiding. (1 Chronicles 29:15)

This quotation is from the end of David’s life. He had prepared the materials for the Lord’s Temple, but he would never see it built. He prepared his son Solomon to build it.

We will all exit this world by death unless we are a part of that blessed generation that sees the Lord’s coming. Remind yourself that life is short. Live for the things that matter. Live for Christ. Spend time with your family. Invest in your church. Use this life for the things of God and of eternity.
