Seems Right, But It’s Death

There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. (Proverbs 14:12)

A word should be said about worldview. A worldview is a framework through which we see the world. It is influenced by experience, upbringing, and enculturation. We likely and unwittingly have many traditions and opinions that are not from the Almighty, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD” (Isaiah 55:8).

Every day, unless you are an off-the-grid hermit, you are bombarded by endless filth from news media, social media, political personalities, educational facilities, clubs and societies, friends, family, and religious institutions. “Every man did that which was right in his own eyes” (Judges 17:6; 21:25). How do you filter through all that mess?

We need to have the Lord’s worldview. Knowing that the holy Scriptures are the primary means by which the Lord speaks, we must know what they say, and continually ask Him for wisdom. At the same time, we need to believe that the Holy Spirit will continually apply His worldview to our lives. Spending more time in the things of the Lord and limiting the intake of the world’s dogmas will be of great benefit.

This is the eighth perspective in the pulling down of strong holds.
