Revelation from the Father

He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. (Matthew 16:15-17)

The Father revealed to Peter that Jesus was both Christ and the Son of the living God. Revelation is something that comes from Him. If He is the one who can reveal truth from His Word, it sounds like we need to ask Him to see what we lack. Let us go before His heavenly throne for understanding in His Word.
