Reconciled (Romans 5:10)

For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. (Romans 5:10)

We were enemies with God; now we are reconciled with God. We could not be renovated or healed of the infirmity of sin. It took the death of the Son to be reconciled with Him. If we are now reconciled, what can undo it? We are placed in the position of favor and were made sons. Better yet, because of our new position, we are saved each day a little more from the power of sin. He gives us grace new every morning. Only from this new position can we serve Him; the old Adamic nature has nothing to offer God.
