Races and Nations

Every human being came from the lineage of Adam. Noah and his three sons were from this lineage, and when the flood waters destroyed the world, the world was repopulated through the lines of these sons. After getting off the ark and after the flood, the families from these sons were all together. This was in defiance of God’s command to spread over the entire world. Because of this, God caused the confusion of languages so that they would spread out over the world (Genesis 11:1-9). Genesis 10 also explains the origin of the nations; this passage is often called the table of nations. In many cases, it is hard to trace modern nations coming from any of these; a lot has happened and changed after endless centuries from this writing.

The most important thing to take from this is that every nation up to the present day all came from Adam:

And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us: For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring. (Acts 17:26-28)

It is important also that there are only two races: the race of Adam and the race of Christ. Romans 5:12-21 explains this. They both started a new lineage of humanity. The race of Adam is certainly doomed. Everyone who is in Adam can be born again into Christ’s family. There is no salvation in Adam and his lineage. We must be born again.
