They Pierced My Hands and My Feet (Psalms 22:16)

...they pierced my hands and my feet. (Psalm 22:16)
... and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced... (Zechariah 12:10)

One significant prophecy is the piercing of Jesus’ hands and feet. This piercing happened during the crucifixion of Jesus, fulfilling a 1,000-year-old prophecy. When He was risen, Jesus showed His disciples the holes in His hands and feet.

Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have. (Luke 24:39)
The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe. And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you. Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing. (John 20:25-27)
That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life (1 John 1:1)

When the disciples saw Jesus’ pierced hands and feet after He rose again, they knew for certain that He had literally and physically rose from the dead. He was the same Man that was crucified just days before.

Now He is risen forevermore.
