And It Shall Be Our Righteousness (Deuteronomy 6:25)

And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before the LORD our God, as he hath commanded us. (Deuteronomy 6:25)

Our righteousness comes from performance and submission to a perfect Law of God. How can it be any righteousness at all? I am bankrupt before I get started. However, praise God, there is another righteousness. “But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe” (Romans 3:21-22).

By faith, Jesus Christ’s performance and submission to a perfect Law of God becomes mine.
