Made a Curse for Us (Galatians 3:13)

Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree (Galatians 3:13)

We spoke of this prophecy fulfillment recently. He made Himself a curse for us. Does that not mean that we were accursed? The issue is that apart from Christ there is no ability to live. Now when I say this, I do not mean, now that we are saved, we automatically have the life to live the Christian life. Even as saved people, we work in our own efforts. There is no Christlife in these things. Only every detail lived by faith makes the difference. Without this reliance on Christ, the cursed life continues to flow.
