John Did No Miracle (John 10:41)

And went away again beyond Jordan into the place where John at first baptized; and there he abode. And many resorted unto him, and said, John did no miracle: but all things that John spake of this man were true. And many believed on him there. (John 10:40-42)
After being rejected in Jerusalem, Jesus went to the other side of the Jordan River. What John had said about Jesus there helped others believe on Him. “He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias” (John 1:23). His job was to get people ready to meet Jesus.
What is interesting is that John performed no miracle. What He did was point people to the Lord. None of us need to make a huge impact with miracles and very visible signs. Such things may happen. But we are told to point people to the Lord, and He will come and make the impact.
