I Would Never Do That...

“I would never do that...” Do not ever say that you would never be able to do such and such a sin. Sin is hardwired into our human nature. When we preach against sin, we must know fully well that we also are capable of the same. This should cause for deep humility. Given the right circumstances, we could do the most heinous things. Remember we are of the same blood as the Hitlers of this world. This potential shows us the great need for the Savior, Jesus Christ.

And Hazael said, Why weepeth my lord? And he answered, Because I know the evil that thou wilt do unto the children of Israel: their strong holds wilt thou set on fire, and their young men wilt thou slay with the sword, and wilt dash their children, and rip up their women with child. And Hazael said, But what, is thy servant a dog, that he should do this great thing? And Elisha answered, The LORD hath shewed me that thou shalt be king over Syria. (2 Kings 8:12-13)
