I AM Statement #6: I Am the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6)

I knew a pastor once that said that Jesus never claimed exclusivity in salvation. He was unfamiliar with what the Lord said in the Upper Room:

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14:6)

Jesus is the way: There is no other path to God the Father. Every other way ends in death.

Jesus is the truth: Everyone else who claims to be a savior is a liar.

Jesus is the life: As we saw before, true eternal life is embodied in the person of Jesus Christ.

You do not have the Father without the Son: “Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father” (1 John 2:23).
