His Reward Is with Him (Isaiah 40:10)

Behold, the Lord GOD will come with strong hand, and his arm shall rule for him: behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him. (Isaiah 40:10)

After promising a messenger that would come before Him, the LORD promises that when He comes, His reward would be with Him. He will feed His people like a shepherd his sheep; we know that He is the Good Shepherd: “He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young” (Isaiah 40:11)

Again, we read, “Behold, the LORD hath proclaimed unto the end of the world, Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy salvation cometh; behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him. And they shall call them, The holy people, The redeemed of the LORD: and thou shalt be called, Sought out, A city not forsaken” (Isaiah 62:11-12).

Jesus claims that He is the One who will bring reward: “And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be” (Revelation 22:12). It remains to be seen what this is, but He will reward His servants when He returns.
