The Hezekiah Mindset
2021-11-11
It is tempting to want to give up on spiritual things in these times. We can see how bad things can get, and throw up our hands and say, I give up. A certain king of Judah did this:
Behold, the days come, that all that is in thine house, and that which thy fathers have laid up in store until this day, shall be carried to Babylon: nothing shall be left, saith the LORD. And of thy sons that shall issue from thee, which thou shalt beget, shall they take away; and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon. Then said Hezekiah to Isaiah, Good is the word of the LORD which thou hast spoken. He said moreover, For there shall be peace and truth in my days. (Isaiah 39:6-8)
He said to himself that if he saw peace in his days, why worry about the next generation? This is seen in how he raised his son Manasseh, born around this time, who grew up to be the most evil king Judah ever saw.
Do not give up on this generation. You can see that in our country, and in many countries around the world, that we are slowly being given over to a reprobate mind. It has been happening for quite some time. We know for sure that by the fruit of this generation of people on earth that God will not tolerate this filthy, cruel, Satanic place forever, and will eventually destroy it all.
However, Christian, you cannot give up. We must be that salt and light that Christ requires. We must share the light of Jesus Christ everywhere. There is no political solution to our problems. Cast off your trust in Caesar and trust wholly in Christ.
If you are a young Christian, we need your energy. If you are an old Christian, we need your wisdom.
Jesus died to reconcile us to the Father. He rose from the dead. This is what life is all about.
Keep pressing on until the end.
