The LORD’S Hand Is Not Shortened

The LORD’s hand never is shortened. He is always able to save and provide. “And the LORD said unto Moses, Is the LORD’S hand waxed short? thou shalt see now whether my word shall come to pass unto thee or not” (Numbers 11:23). The LORD was able to provide food for the people in the desert where there was none.

“Thus saith the LORD, Where is the bill of your mother’s divorcement, whom I have put away? or which of my creditors is it to whom I have sold you? Behold, for your iniquities have ye sold yourselves, and for your transgressions is your mother put away. Wherefore, when I came, was there no man? when I called, was there none to answer? Is my hand shortened at all, that it cannot redeem? or have I no power to deliver? behold, at my rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness: their fish stinketh, because there is no water, and dieth for thirst” (Isaiah 50:1-2). The LORD can save His people, because He controls the powerful seas and the rivers of the world. He is always strong! However, it is sin that stands between the LORD and His people.

“Behold, the LORD’S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear” (Isaiah 59:1-2). Again, the LORD can save; however, the issue is people’s sin that does not let them see Him.

Now the LORD sent Jesus to remove that sin penalty and barrier from between us and God. Praise Him for that. However, when we sin, we will also see that we cannot see Him clearly.
