God’s Best

“Every man at his best state is altogether vanity” (Psalm 39:5)

In my Bible reading I have made it to the Psalms. This verse stood out to me today. Did you ever realize that even at our best it is utterly useless to God? But God in his mercy made us new creatures in Christ so that we do not need to be our “best.” God gave his “best” to us, Jesus Christ!

Thank you, God, for giving us your best.
