But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave: for he shall receive me. Selah. (Psalm 49:15)

People think that by riches or other means they can extend their lives. They think themselves indestructible when the reality is that death waits for all without respect of persons. They may also mistakenly think that by making a name for themselves in this life will not cause their memory to vanish. However, those who hope in the Lord have hope beyond this life. You can see the confidence of the psalmist here that God will certainly raise him from the dead and accept Him. Because God rose Jesus from the dead and accepted Him, likewise we have His acceptance.

In Christ, we have that everlasting acceptance, and He will most certainly raise us on the last day.
