God Provides a Job

2012-07-27

I returned to school a couple of years ago. I was changing careers, and began to study computer science. God provided all that I needed during this time. Here are some examples:

As far as finances, we never had any financial problems, and we did not have government assistance, which I believe must be avoided at all costs. I had no job at the time. Food, clothing, housing, and tuition were all covered by our savings, which had we had saved for years prior.

God also helped bring back to memory all of the math I needed to succeed. I had not seen a math course in over ten years, yet I was able to handle calculus and discrete math courses with minimal problems. There were some very hard programming courses in there as well, and sometimes there was more praying than studying because of the hopelessness of the course outlook. But God provided the strength and helped my learning greatly. I carried a 3.9 grade point average, and that was definitely not reflective of my abilities! Thank you, Lord, for all that I have learned.

Lastly, all of this was not in vain, as God provided a job for me. The night after my first and only interview, I was offered the job... and I still had three months until I graduated! Yes, in this economy also.

I am very grateful for what God has provided for me. We do not need a lot of money or prestige. All I seek to do is provide for my family, and be of great use in my job. I need the ability from God to be able to learn all I need to learn so I can be the best employee I can be.

Thank you, Lord Jesus, for all of your provision during these times.
