God Keeps Promises

God always keeps His promises. The Lord told the apostle this:

Be of good cheer, Paul: for as thou hast testified of me in Jerusalem, so must thou bear witness also at Rome. (Acts 23:11)

When they are in the throes of shipwreck in Acts 27, there was no reason to lose hope, despite the intensity of the storm, weeks of fasting, and nearly dying:

And when neither sun nor stars in many days appeared, and no small tempest lay on us, all hope that we should be saved was then taken away. (Acts 27:20)

However, regardless of the circumstances, Paul was going to Rome, because God promised it so:

And when we came to Rome... (Acts 28:16)

If God promises not to forsake us, or that we have eternal life in Christ, or whatever it may be, that promise will be kept. We may fail, but God does not fail. Don’t look at the circumstances; look to the Lord.
