God Establishes Us in Christ (2 Corinthians 1:21)

Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God (2 Corinthians 1:21)

Just as we saw in 1 Corinthians 1:30, we see that it is God the Father who placed us in Christ. How do we get into Christ? Do we need to strive harder? No, God has already placed us in Him. And all that is in Him is ours for His honor and glory.

He also appointed the apostles as witnesses of Christ to preach the Gospel. Apostolic authority is New Testament authority, since they were the human vessels by which we received it.

All that we need is a gift from God, who has united us with His Son.
