For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light. (Psalm 36:9)

The fountain is the source of the waters; therefore, the source of all life is God. Concerning the Son, it says, “In him was life; and the life was the light of men” (John 1:4). Along this same line, our God, the Creator of light, illuminates us so that we can know Him. We can see the way to go by Him. The source of all righteousness and goodness and justice is from Him. By faith in Him, we receive His life and His light.
