Found Grace

2024-10-25

And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD. These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God. (Genesis 6:7-9)

Noah found grace before God, namely, he was exempted from the worldwide destruction that was coming. How did the patriarch find grace? He walked with God, or he sought God and followed Him. He believed the promise foretold by his father, who said, “This same shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of our hands, because of the ground which the LORD hath cursed” (Genesis 5:29).

I take God at His word that Jesus was the One who granted us rest from our fruitless works. As a result, I have found grace in the eyes of the LORD. I am exempted from the coming worldwide destruction. Let us all order our lives around our Father’s business. Let us be worthy of the Name above all names that is the power of our salvation. Jesus was dead but is risen forever.
