Thou Exceedest the Fame That I Heard

When the queen of Sheba came from a far kingdom to hear the wisdom of Solomon, “there was no more spirit in her” (2 Chronicles 9:4). She told the king:

It was a true report which I heard in mine own land of thine acts, and of thy wisdom: Howbeit I believed not their words, until I came, and mine eyes had seen it: and, behold, the one half of the greatness of thy wisdom was not told me: for thou exceedest the fame that I heard. (2 Chronicles 9:5-6)

However, when Jesus came to earth, He was indeed “a greater than Solomon” (Matthew 12:42). There is no doubt, when we see the Lord in His splendor, that we will say “thou exceedest the fame that I heard.”
