The Ministry of the False Prophet

Previously, we looked at the one world ruler known as the Antichrist. He also has some manner of lieutenant or deputy who acts on his behalf who “exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him” (Revelation 13:12). This man, known as the False Prophet, will establish the religious and economic sectors of the Antichrist’s empire.

Regarding the religious aspect, the False Prophet will cause “the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed” (Revelation 13:12). He also will do miracles: “And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles” (Revelation 13:14).

This deputy will also create an idol of the Antichrist. Unlike your run-of-the-mill idol, this thing will be made alive somehow, it will speak, and it will kill people that do not worship it (Revelation 13:15).

This is the abomination of desolation, and the Lord commands His people to run and hide when this comes to pass: “When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains...” (Matthew 24:15-16).

As part of the economic program, the False Prophet will implement a cashless society. It will be required that all people receive some manner of “mark” in their right hands or foreheads. Without it, “no man might buy or sell” (Revelation 13:17). It is somehow tied to the name of the Antichrist or the “number of his name” which is “Six hundred threescore and six” (Revelation 13:17-18).

There is a lot of speculation as to the meaning of this number or what the mark is. Some have said erroneously that the recent vaccine mandate and any vaccine passport is the mark of the beast, but that is clearly not the case (who gets a vaccine in the head or hand?). This thing must be tied to the worship of the Antichrist. Anyone who receives this mark has been given over to the delusion sent by God (2 Thessalonians 2:11) and are damned (Revelation 14:9-11).

Whatever this mark is, or the identity of the Antichrist or the False Prophet, cannot be discerned now, but it will be apparent as that time gets closer.
