Ezekiel’s Wife (Ezekiel 24:18)

So I spake unto the people in the morning: and at even my wife died; and I did in the morning as I was commanded. (Ezekiel 24:18)
Imagine the Lord telling you that someone in your life would die, and this would help other people understand spiritual truth. I do not know how Ezekiel kept himself composed during this time, but the Scripture says that he did. He was able, and was required to, continue to minister during his loss.
Could it be that painful experiences, including life-shattering trauma, could be used to minister to others? It sounds like it. We need to take the pain to the Lord, and then we need to use that to help others in their needs. In Ezekiel’s case, he had to rebuke people amid his loss. But whatever the situation, we use what we have to help others.
