Envying, and Strife, and Divisions

For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men? (1 Corinthians 3:3)

Divisions among Christians or churches are signs of immaturity. The Corinthians were following different Christian leaders who had evangelized their city, not realizing that these were merely servants of the same Lord. Unity is a sign of maturity. Such unity must come from realizing that we are all in Christ and have differences that we can offer to each other to build each other up. We do not envy others but appreciate whoever God made us to fit in within the church and serve.
