Who Shall Also Confirm You unto the End (1 Corinthians 1:7-8)

So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 1:7-8)

These Corinthians, though they struggled with sin and division, were still considered brothers in the Lord by the apostle Paul. They waited for the coming of our Lord, and because they did trust in Him, the Lord Jesus would “confirm you unto the end.”

The Lord works through us despite our issues, even when we are stubborn toward Him. His goal in us is that we “may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.” We comfort ourselves in this, knowing that we fall short in every way according to the flesh. Let the death of the cross of Christ continually work in us so that His life may work freely through us until that glorious Day.
